Why we work the way we do
The double glazing trade has an image problem, and it earned it. Commission-only salespeople, four-hour kitchen table pitches, prices that halve if you sign tonight, and a fitting crew who've never spoken to the person who sold the job. Anyone who has been through it once tends to dread doing it again.
We set the business up to work the opposite way round. We're a small outfit based in Luton, registered at Companies House as H A Windows and Doors Ltd, company number 13677383. There's no call centre, no commission structure and no subcontracted fitting teams. If we quote your job, we fit your job.
Practically, that changes two things. First, the survey is done by someone who will personally have to make the frames fit, which is a strong incentive to measure carefully and to tell you honestly if your lintel is cracked or your cill is rotten. Second, when you ring in eighteen months because a handle has gone stiff, you get the person who fitted it rather than a ticket number.

One price, written down
You get an itemised quote listing every opening, its size, the frame style, the colour and the glass specification. It's valid for 60 days and it doesn't move. No discount that expires at midnight.
We turn up when we say
You get a date and a time window, and a call if anything changes. Glazing runs late sometimes — deliveries slip, weather stops work — but you'll hear it from us before you've spent a morning waiting in.
Advice against our own interest
If a repair will do, we'll say so, even though a replacement pays us more. If triple glazing won't earn its keep on your sheltered south wall, we'll tell you that too.
We leave it as we found it
Dust sheets down, one opening open at a time, reveals made good, silicone finished neatly, and every old frame, offcut and pane of glass taken away with us.
Aftercare that picks up
Hinges bed in, handles need easing, a sash occasionally wants adjusting after the first winter. That's normal. Ring us and we'll come back and sort it.
Local by choice
We stay within about 30 miles of Luton. It keeps travel time down, which keeps prices sensible, and it means coming back to adjust something isn't a half-day round trip.
