Nothing here is off-the-shelf. Every frame is manufactured to the sizes we take off your opening, in the colour and finish you choose.
Aluminium bi-fold doors

What comes as standard
Not upgrades, not optional extras. This is the baseline on every job we quote.
A-rated sealed units
Low-emissivity glass, warm-edge spacer bars and argon fill. Typical whole-window U-value from 1.2 W/m²K, or 0.8 with triple glazing.
High-security locking
Multi-point shootbolt locks, anti-snap and anti-bump cylinders on doors, internally beaded frames so glass can't be removed from outside.
Weather-tested frames
Multi-chambered profiles with twin gaskets and drained, ventilated glazing rebates. They stay dry and they stay quiet.
Trickle vents where required
Part F of the Building Regulations changed in 2022. We fit compliant background ventilation and tell you where it's needed.
Any RAL colour
Anthracite grey, black, cream and Chartwell green are our most-asked-for. Aluminium can be powder coated to any RAL, dual-colour included.
Safety glass by default
Toughened or laminated glass in every critical location — doors, side panels and anything low-level — as Part K requires.

The job we get asked for most
Bi-folds that actually glide, five years on
A bi-fold lives or dies on the survey and the threshold. Get the opening out of level by a few millimetres and you'll be shouldering panels shut by the second winter. We laser-level the aperture, check the lintel can carry the span, and set the track in a bed of sealant so water drains out rather than pooling under the rollers.
The result is a door that opens with one hand, locks without lifting, and folds back to leave you 90% of the opening clear.

- Low or flush threshold A 20mm weathered threshold as standard, or fully flush where the substrate allows.

Common questions
The things people ask before booking
It depends on size, material, colour and glazing, so anyone quoting a firm figure before measuring is guessing. As a rough guide, a standard uPVC casement in white sits at the lower end, a coloured flush sash in the middle, and slimline aluminium at the top. Triple glazing typically adds 15–25%.
We'll give you a ballpark over the phone if you have approximate sizes, then a fixed written price after the survey. No deposit is taken until you've seen that price.
uPVC gives you the best thermal performance per pound and needs almost no upkeep. It's the sensible choice for most replacement windows.
Aluminium is stronger, so the frames can be much slimmer — you get noticeably more glass in the same hole in the wall. It's the right call for bi-folds, large sliding doors and anywhere you want a crisp, modern line. It costs more.
Replacement windows and doors are covered by the Building Regulations, and the installation has to be certified. We handle that and you get the certificate for your records — you'll need it when you sell.
Planning permission normally isn't required for like-for-like replacement, but it can be if you're in a conservation area, the property is listed, or you're changing an opening size. We'll flag it at survey stage if it applies to you.
Manufacture is the long part: two to three weeks for uPVC, three to four for aluminium. Fitting is quick. A typical three-bed house of windows is one to two days, a single bi-fold is usually a day.
We work one opening at a time so the house is never wide open, sheet the floors and furniture, and take every old frame and offcut away with us.
Frames, sealed units and our workmanship. That includes misting or blown double glazing, failed hinges and handles, and anything that turns out to be down to how we fitted it.
Wear items and accidental damage aren't covered, and neither is glass breakage after handover. Full written terms come with your quote so you can read them before you commit.
Yes. Misted units, dropped or dragging doors, broken hinges, failed handles, snapped locks and worn gaskets are all straightforward fixes and far cheaper than replacing the whole frame.
If a frame is genuinely past saving we'll tell you that rather than sell you a repair that won't last.
