Specification

What comes as standard

Not upgrades, not optional extras. This is the baseline on every job we quote.

A-rated sealed units

Low-emissivity glass, warm-edge spacer bars and argon fill. Typical whole-window U-value from 1.2 W/m²K, or 0.8 with triple glazing.

High-security locking

Multi-point shootbolt locks, anti-snap and anti-bump cylinders on doors, internally beaded frames so glass can't be removed from outside.

Weather-tested frames

Multi-chambered profiles with twin gaskets and drained, ventilated glazing rebates. They stay dry and they stay quiet.

Trickle vents where required

Part F of the Building Regulations changed in 2022. We fit compliant background ventilation and tell you where it's needed.

Any RAL colour

Anthracite grey, black, cream and Chartwell green are our most-asked-for. Aluminium can be powder coated to any RAL, dual-colour included.

Safety glass by default

Toughened or laminated glass in every critical location — doors, side panels and anything low-level — as Part K requires.

How it works

Four steps, roughly three to five weeks

From your first call to us clearing up and handing over the paperwork.

  1. Call or send the form

Tell us what you're after. If you have rough sizes or photos, even better — we can often give a ballpark figure on the phone.

  2. Free home survey

We measure every opening, check the structure above it, talk through frame styles, colours and glass, and leave you samples to look at.

  3. Written quote & manufacture

An itemised quote within 48 hours. Approve it and your frames go into manufacture — usually two to three weeks for uPVC, three to four for aluminium.

  4. Fitting & sign-off

Most houses are done in one to two days. We take the old frames away, make good, hand over your guarantee and register the work for Building Regs.

The job we get asked for most

Bi-folds that actually glide, five years on

A bi-fold lives or dies on the survey and the threshold. Get the opening out of level by a few millimetres and you'll be shouldering panels shut by the second winter. We laser-level the aperture, check the lintel can carry the span, and set the track in a bed of sealant so water drains out rather than pooling under the rollers.

The result is a door that opens with one hand, locks without lifting, and folds back to leave you 90% of the opening clear.

  • Slim 100mm sightlines More glass, less frame, in thermally broken aluminium.
  • Low or flush threshold A 20mm weathered threshold as standard, or fully flush where the substrate allows.
  • Your configuration Two to seven panels, folding left, right or split, with a traffic door for everyday use.

In their words

What customers say

Recent jobs across Luton, Dunstable, St Albans and Barnet.

Three-panel bi-fold across the back of the kitchen. Quoted properly, arrived when they said, and the threshold is genuinely flush so the wheelchair goes straight out.

Nine windows and a composite front door in two days. They dust-sheeted the whole hallway and I honestly couldn't tell anyone had been in. Front of the house looks like a different property.

We're in a conservation area so the flush sash in Chartwell green was the only thing planning would accept. They knew that before I did and sorted the paperwork side too.
Sample review — replaceFlush sash windows, St Albans
Had three quotes. Theirs wasn't the cheapest but it was the only one that listed the glass spec and the U-value in writing. That told me everything.
